About Me:
I am an Oklahoma City artist and musician who has been feeling a deep pull towards using my creative gifts for a higher purpose. I have recently set out on a new course, beginning the year long training program to become certified as a Creative Journal Expressive Arts facilitator, of which I graduated in April of 2008. As a result of going through this training, and doing extensive work on myself, I feel suddenly changed. Until recently, my environment did not match my insides, but I finally busted out of this comfortable bubble I have been existing in for the last half dozen years. Within the same week, my career shifted and I met my future husband. I now live down in Norman with my fiance and work as an Americorps VISTA with the Learn and Serve program where I help teachers integrate Service-Learning projects into their curriculum. We have been using art as our service and Creative Journal as a reflective tool. This is the higher purpose I have been praying for. With all the sweeping changes that have happened over the last year, I can hardly imagine what is in store for me (US) next!
